Background Check & Verification Consent

Effective Date: 7 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Background Check & Verification Consent (“Consent”) applies to any individual or business applying for verification, claiming a listing, or participating in any verification programme offered by Hustlefella (“Hustlefella”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By submitting a verification or listing claim, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Consent and voluntarily authorise Hustlefella to carry out the verification activities described below.

This Consent should be read together with our:

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Privacy Policy

  • Verification Policy

  • Claiming Listings Policy

  • Service Provider Terms

2. Purpose of Verification

Hustlefella’s verification process exists to:

  • improve trust within the Platform;

  • reduce fraudulent listings;

  • confirm business ownership where reasonably possible;

  • improve customer confidence;

  • protect the integrity of the Hustlefella community.

Verification is conducted solely for Platform purposes and does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee.

3. Your Consent

By participating in the verification process, you expressly authorise Hustlefella to verify information you provide using lawful and reasonable methods.

Where appropriate, this may include verifying:

  • your identity;

  • your contact details;

  • business ownership;

  • business registration details;

  • professional licences;

  • trade qualifications;

  • certifications;

  • service areas;

  • business contact information;

  • publicly available business information.

Where additional verification services are introduced in the future, Hustlefella may request your further consent where required by law.

4. Sources of Information

Verification may involve reviewing information obtained from:

  • documents submitted by you;

  • publicly available records;

  • publicly accessible business information;

  • regulatory bodies;

  • professional registration authorities;

  • industry associations;

  • your business website;

  • publicly available online information;

  • other lawful sources.

Hustlefella will only use information reasonably necessary for verification.

5. Additional Information

Where necessary, Hustlefella may request additional information or documentation before completing verification.

Examples include:

  • proof of identity;

  • proof of address;

  • business registration certificates;

  • licences;

  • insurance documentation;

  • qualifications;

  • authorisation to represent a business.

Submission of additional information does not guarantee approval.

6. No Guarantee of Verification

Providing documents or consent does not guarantee that verification will be approved.

Verification may be declined where:

  • information cannot be reasonably confirmed;

  • documentation is insufficient;

  • conflicting information exists;

  • fraud is suspected;

  • Platform policies are breached.

7. Accuracy of Information

You confirm that all information submitted to Hustlefella is:

  • true;

  • accurate;

  • complete;

  • current.

You agree to notify Hustlefella if any verified information changes materially.

8. Fraud Prevention

You acknowledge that Hustlefella may investigate suspected fraud relating to verification or listing claims.

Knowingly providing false or misleading information may result in:

  • refusal of verification;

  • removal of verification status;

  • suspension of listings;

  • account suspension;

  • permanent removal from the Platform;

  • legal action where appropriate.

9. Storage of Verification Information

Information and documents submitted during verification are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Verification information is:

  • stored securely;

  • treated as confidential;

  • accessible only to authorised personnel;

  • retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil verification purposes or comply with legal obligations.

10. Sharing of Information

Hustlefella does not sell verification information.

Information may be shared only where reasonably necessary, including:

  • with trusted service providers assisting with Platform operations;

  • where required by law;

  • where necessary to investigate fraud;

  • where required by a lawful court order or regulatory authority.

11. Withdrawal of Consent

You may withdraw your consent to future verification activities by contacting Hustlefella.

Please note that withdrawing consent may result in:

  • cancellation of pending verification requests;

  • removal of verification status;

  • inability to complete listing claims;

  • removal of verification badges;

  • restriction of certain Platform features where verification is required.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect any lawful processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

12. Limitation of Verification

Verification reflects information available at the time it is completed.

Circumstances may change after verification.

Accordingly, verification does not constitute:

  • a guarantee of honesty;

  • a guarantee of workmanship;

  • a guarantee of future conduct;

  • a guarantee of financial stability;

  • a guarantee of legal compliance;

  • a guarantee that a Service Provider is suitable for any particular project.

Customers should always exercise their own judgment.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hustlefella shall not be liable for decisions made by customers or third parties based upon verification status.

Verification is one factor among many that users should consider when selecting a Service Provider.

14. Changes to this Consent

Hustlefella may update this Background Check & Verification Consent from time to time.

The latest version will always be published on the Platform.

Continued participation in the verification process constitutes acceptance of any updated version.
